The Mississippi river has crested at Vicksburg, well above record flood stage and all the levees are holding.

I got to righteously chew out a driver who cut me off while I was biking today.

I know, this shouldn't be in the happy thread, but it was a tricky area that I KNOW to be on alert (passing a parking lot with an In-N-Out AND a Trader Joe's) so I was well prepared for someone to do exactly what this bitch did). Very much enjoyed the look on her face when I circled around to track her down in the parking lot and yell at her.

Those two schools operate their libraries as a consortium. That's why they need the one copy.

Just secured grandparental baby sitting for next Saturday and purchased tickets to see Paul F. Tompkins' live recording of his podcast.

So.

Excited.

I've tried twice now but haven't yet made it more than 10 minutes into his podcast. Do you feel he starts slow and builds up in one or it is just apparently not for me.

Do you like other stuff he's done? I personally eat his stuff up, but could definitely see how his ramblings might not appeal to others. Have you gotten far enough in to hear the bits (e.g. the Undiscovered Project, or phone calls with Jenn Kirkman)? Those are more standard comedy than just listening to him ramble, so if you like his comedy otherwise you might like those. Whether it's worth it to you to listen through the rest, only you can decide.
