I think Alex hit it with the Alaska comment. Kids in the Pacific NW hear about the good money to be made for just a summers work and their off. My brother worked the nets off the beaches and my friends worked the fish processing ships. My brother and I also worked in a hatchery in Sitka.

It's funny because cats like fish and aren't smart enough to understand heteronyms.
