Completely off-topic (like that's possible in this thread...):

I just have to say that the people of LoT actually have a lot of class, and don't behave like a high school class.

That is all. :)

What-ever! You're totally making me late for homeroom.

It's just not all high.

I'm picking up a thread from elsewhere here because I do not want to derail that thread, nor do I want to start a new thread.

I posted this in the "American Story" thread about my Great Aunt.

I'm dumbstruck.

10 minutes after I posted this, my mother called. My Aunt Raie, of whom I just wrote above, died sometime last night or this morning.

At 76, she moved to Redmond Washington. In short time, she became friends with the mayor and an influential and well respected member of her community. She lived her life believing that "only boring people get bored" and never once chose to sit back and do nothing.

And I made no joke when I said she'd be happy to tell you about it. While her body finally made her last couple of years physically problematic, she never lost an ounce of her wits. Or her desire to share it with you.

She will be missed. I'll have a cup of proper tea tonight for you. I just wish I could read the leaves.

I am sorry to hear about this GD: my condolences.

Gemini Cricket 07-05-2008 01:26 PM

My condolences, GD.

I'll be happy if I make it half way to what your Aunt did.

Hugs from the Wolfpack..and may that cup of tea be the best you've ever had!

Disneyphile 07-05-2008 01:32 PM

I'll raise my next tea to her, GD. She sounds like an awesome woman.

BarTopDancer 07-05-2008 01:35 PM

So sorry GD!

If you have of her knowledge to share I know I'd love to hear it, and I'm probably not the only one.
