It was a 12 week semester. I took 9 units instead of the 12 I would take in the 16 week semester. It wasn't terrible.

I'm burned out, but that's because I'm burned out on school.

I don't know, I don't see anything wrong with instant replay. Some of these calls can be quite irritating. And the weird way that some announcers and some players are just okay with a wrong call is annoying. Last night, the announcer said, 'Oh yeah, he was out... Anyway, up next is...' I kept yelling at the TV saying, 'But the call was wrrrooong!' And, yes, I say it for non-Angels, non-Red Sox teams as well...

BTD~ I feel your pain being burned out on school but you are soooo close!!! Hang in there you are doing such a fantastic job!! Ever since I've 'known' you, you've always been moving up, working hard. :snap:

ozron~ I haven't seen you in person but I have seen a picture you with your long long long hair {as long as I am remembering the right picture....}. Wow, so you aren't wearing a 'cap'? How does that feel? Do you wear sunscreen???

And, not that GD would necessarily care, there were a lot of hotties playing last night. Hotorama!

But that's baseball. Always has been. Wrong calls go both ways. And unless you're going to go the whole 9 yards and have instant replay for balls and strikes (or worse, a computer making all ball and strike calls) there's absolutely no point. Baseball is a judgment call game and always should be.

It's a song that reminds me of GD and CP.

Heh, I'd forgotten how awesome the video for that is. Love that song.

There's talk of having reply just for home run calls, which would not be the worst thing given the funky design of some outfield fence/bleachers. However, before baseball commits to reply to "get it right" they should make sure that the infielders actually touch second base with the ball in their hands when they try to turn a double play.

I wouldn't necessarily mind that use, but I have no faith at all that it would stop there.

Don't you guys have your own baseball thread? ;)

DreadPirateRoberts 07-16-2008 09:21 AM

Can you derail the Soooo.... thread?
