Helen Mirren has always been a hottie. Even now. :)

I don't know who they belong too, and they always run out of sight when I open the door. They know to run though, because I yelled at them shortly after we moved in because they were using our doorbell as a "base" for one of their games and would ring it constantly throughout the day. Ken thought I was mean for stopping their game, telling me that they were just "having fun" and needed a "base". I told him to see how much fun it is always running to the damn door while trying to work. ;) Asking them nicely to stop only added to their "fun", so I ended up having to put on my mean face and yell. They got that message and now fear me.

However, I notice that a neighbor further down our side has adopted the same idea already - this afternoon, they turned their potted vine and lattice sideways to block their section now too. :D

The music in The Last Unicorn sounds a lot like the music in Pippin.

See what happens when you don't spray your yard for children?

Okay, gotta check out The Last Unicorn now. (love Pippin)

Ron- that's awesome! Congratulations on the good show!

T- I'd be that kind of mean, too.

Hellen Mirren can wear that bikini any time she wants. OMG. Yeah.

I had a good day today. My friend and I took the bus to Santa Barbara today, bummed around all day, saw things we wanted to see, and took the train home. Lovely day marred only by her sore toes from wearing the wrong shoes. She felt bad about repeating "I could spend money on "XXX" if I knew I was getting the job".

Frankendog is doing reasonably well. I only saw her try to lick her stitches twice tonight.

By the way, some of you know my dear friend Jessica. Her mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had surgery yesterday. She's been labeled with a Stage 3 that affected 3 lymph nodes.

So, please keep her and her mom in your thoughts and prayers. I know all too well what it's like to have a parent with an escalated cancer. There are going to be some hard times ahead, and they can use all the loving energy they can get.

Thanks. :)

Yeah, you're probably remembering my headshot from about eight years ago:

I did have it cut to a shorter style about four years ago.

I swore about thirty years a go that I'd never wear a bald cap - those things are atrocious and NEVER look good! So I I took the bic to it for this. It actually doesn't feel that much different, except when I'm in the direct sun. I am going through a lot of spf 30 right now - it's been in the nineties here since I shaved.

The really wierd thing is catching my reflection in mirrors and windows. After over two weeks I still don't recognize myself!

The hairdresser in me is crying. However, should you actually ever go bald, it will look pretty good!
