Nacho burger?
Tell me you're joking! |
Have you ever had a pastrami burger at the Hat?

Singin's going in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. It's going to rain onstage which always makes me nervous.
I've learned that having BJ's at 3:30 (baked potato with cheese, chicken, and broccoli), a movie (Hellboy II), and then sushi at 8:30 is too much for one evening. No time for biking today. Hopefully I can finish here and do some weights here at home. Feeling quite blobby. I ate too much. |
Hey, BD- you're a great sport for playing that evil soundtrack so many times- your ears must be bleeding.
I haven't been 'Twittering', just working and having kind of a hectic week. Eric sanded and refinished one of the decks, and we've been painting the railings for the past several nights. (It's a very large deck). Tori has been a big help- she's easily done 1/2 of the painting so far, and she's doing a great job. I'll have to post a pic when we're finished- it really is looking great! She and I are going to Seattle in a few weeks for a long weekend with Bobbi and Nick; we just booked a hotel on Capital Hill that looks like a fun place. It's very near the gay district, so we may see some Bears! I'm looking forward to it- it's been kind of a rough week, between work and finding out that several people I care very much about have very serious illnesses. Shyt, when it rains it pours! May as well be in Seattle then, eh? |
Julie Andrews sang tonight :):):)
My heart ached for her when I realized how toasted her pipes really are (I couldn't imagine the loss would be so great). But she's still Julie FREAKING Andrews, with more class, grace, and stage presence than any one person should have a right to. There were some good singers with her, including a name I'd heard before (I believe he does the Hollywood Bowl thing with reasonable frequency) but never seen myself: Jubilant Sykes. Very good. And the other two guys were pretty damn hot (and so very obviously off the market to my half of the population ;)) The women were adequate. They were good, just didn't exactly blow you away. The going theory is that they couldn't outshine Julie... that would be bad. |

Random self-aggrandizing post -
Tonight, I am holding a public reading of my latest play. It's called: GOOD WITNESS: Secret Lives of the Born Again. I have a dozen of Central Florida's finest actors participating, and I'm told that there will be at least a few attendees who could potentially give the work a full production someday. Here's hoping. The play is a comedy in two acts, and it charts the foibles and frustrations of several families in the evangelical sub-culture in post 9/11 America. It's all about beer, prostitution, cute puppets, the rapture, and much more. Wish me luck. Now, please resume the Soooo.... thread already in progress. |
Good Luck Flippy!
