Check out www.ipl.org where you can read newspapers from a lot of different countries, some of which even publish in English. Fun to get some different perspectives on things.

Cool - although I never trust a site that states: ''Information you can trust''

Yeah, but they link directly to the individual papers, so I do trust that more. The IPL is just a collection of all the links.

I think I've finally managed to tire out our hound. Took him to doggie day-care over lunchtime, and ran him next to the bike to get home. Hadn't tried running him like that before, thought there was a good chance he was going to take me down by pulling sideways or running into the bike. But he did well, and is still sleeping, an hour later. It's just under a mile from day-care to home, but it's more than I can run, so I thought I'd try the bike.

Is today "Leave Your Brain at Home Day", or something?

SzczerbiakManiac 08-09-2012 03:32 PM

In that it's a day ending in the letter Y, yes.

It's Swedish and I have no idea how to spell it

...but it sounds just like "Get the hell out of the supermarket!" said in a Swedish accent. It means "Gee whiz".

As our daughter's wedding approaches, hubbo is Going Native, meaning shifting into Scandihoovian gear. Yesterday, for example, he made Swedish pancakes. This morning he entered a sweepstakes to meet the king and queen of Sweden when they visit Minneapolis.
