What exactly is the difference between "standard" Woot and a Wootoff?

Is it just that the latter has several a day, seemingly smaller batches of stuff that are available until sold out?

Yeah. Basically, regular Woot is "One Deal, One Day". When they have a Woot-off, presumably they're selling their remaining stock from each of those one-day-only deals in a marathon of "while supplies last" deals. One at a time, but in quick succession.

So, there's a raven on our patio fence. He/she is making the oddest noise - sounds like a little child saying "Ma-ma" or "Neh-neh". It fluffs its feathers every time it sounds.

Mating call maybe?
