Wow, the mythology surrounding ravens is interesting.
(I was hoping to find some link between ravens and fertility, given the "mama" sound, and the connection to Morrigan, but it looks like they're more linked to battle and change. So much for the joke I was planning to make.)

I just made a chocolate malted. Mmmmmmm...

So I'm listening to a live performance of the Decemberists' upcoming album. I've thus far been entirely unimpressed with their previous stuff.

This is ENTIRELY different. I'm about 1/3 of the way into the performance and I'm undecided if that means it's good. But it IS different, and that's a huge step in the right direction as their previous stuff was just more of the same droney indie band crud.

Dammit. I hate freak-outs/anxiety/excitement that cause creative blocks.

I picked up a quick job to make three animated web banners and I'm stuck.

I'm very excited that someone already wants to pay me for animations, and I'm excited about the job, because they have an awesome network, and I will already have some portfolio stuff and new clients before the semester even ends.

So, caught up in my excitement, I'm looking at their website and logo and product, and I'm just hitting a massive roadblock. ACK!

Have you tried hallucinogens?


If you don't have any handy, I've found that sitting too close to the TV while watching Roger Rabbit cranked up nice and loud has much the same effect.
