Does anyone know if an individual who has borrowed money from a sibling can claim the sibling as a creditor in their bankruptcy and essentially write the debt off?

(let's try to avoid the debate of lending money you can't afford to lose/lending money to family.)

Yes. In fact, you MUST list all money owed in a bankruptcy. This doesn't mean that the familly member couldn't still pay it back later once they get on their feet.

On the flip side, with a little documentation, you can claim a bad debt write-off on taxes for money loaned and not repayed.

Carrot better not have ended up as Coyote food. I'm on a rant about irresponsible pet owners today and who knows what I might do.

Rabbit Rescue might be able to help, but a no-kill shelter is probably a better place for the little guy.

OR:

Bunny Bunch S.P.C.R., The, Chino
BunnyLuv Rabbit Resource Center, Van Nuys
House Rabbit Society Orange/Los Angeles Counties (HRS OC/LA)
PetSave Foundation, San Pedro
Rabbit & Pocket Pet Adoptions, Canoga Park
Rabbit Rescue, Downey
Second Chance for Rabbits, Norwalk
Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue, Claremont
and Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue

Or maybe he/she will find another bunny and make a rabbit habitat out of the area like they did in Leisure World. The problem got so bad that it had neighbor against neighbor pitted against each other in the should we treasure them or should we poison/kill them battle.

No one spoke up for the "trap them and eat them" contingent?

I volunteer to help smack 'em! :snap: It's why I stopped watching "Animal Cops" on Animal Planet - I started to hear about too much of that crap outside of television land, and realized it's sadly not that uncommon. (Or, at least appears to be.) What's even scarier - some of those people have or will have children.
