I try to do what my mom did for produce storage but my fruit kept going bad. I talked to a produce guy at Henry's and he said the produce is picked earlier then it was when I was a kid, and the best way to store it is to not use paper towel in my fruit bowl (like my mom did, but now that I think about it our fruit bowl was wicker, mine is glass) and to only let one or two pieces ripen at a time and keep the rest in the fridge.
So far, so good. |
I like [url=http://www.ocregister.com/articles/dog-libman-dogs-2128876-first-people] this story because 1) the owner of the Shar-Pei that won 16 medals is my cousin and 2) said Shar-Pei's registered name is "Mikobi's Little Brick Schmidthouse". :D hahaha nice, Bobbie.

I'm starting to look like my avatar. My Hollywood dinner is at 7pm, and I'm already panicking about what to wear. |

Also, you'll find people recommending storing garlic in olive oil, which is a traditional method. But it also isn't particularly safe if you don't take a lot of care with it, it can grow botulism. |

Actually, scratch that - my nakedness would land me a guaranteed spot on Discovery Channel's Whale Watchers Week. ;) |
Mine is unpeeled. So I still appreciate the advice.

DP: I was wondering if that was tonight... good luck! :)
