I have an external hard drive with all my music. What I need to do is find time to listen to it. Maybe tonight on my drive.

I need to leave but my pants aren't dry yet. Such a quandry.

We just bought a 300GB external drive for our plethora that keeps growing. I spend an afternoon moving all of our files over there from the laptop. Now I need to network my iPod to it and choose a measly 4 GBs to load.

The next upgrade for my beloved Cheeseburger 9000?

2 of these in a RAID 0 array. (I've only got 160 gigs at the moment - 2 80gig drives in RAID 0)

(If I can convince the lovely MonkeyRose that I really NEED a terabyte of storage)

So copy protection is a pain in the ass - got the new Dresden Dolls album and all I want to do is copy it to my ipod so I can actually listen to it - my 5 minute commute from the station is no longer prime CD listening time.

Anyway, the CD has a nasty new copy protection that creates a folder that is inaccessible and cannot be deleted. I've spent the past hour or so relearning DOS to copy the files and delete the annoying folder.

Since trying to use legitmately purchased media is such a pain I think I may start pirating MP3s again to avoid this headache. Thanks Music Industry

I see a niche market for print yourself CD inserts. Buy the album on iTunes, and you can print the insert at home. No more CD, no more dealing with the copy protection, no more having 1000s of plastic cases sitting around the house.

So....we go out to California Pizza Kitchen last night for dinner, as we usually go out on Friday or Saturday.

While at the table, my 6 year old son says "Mom, what's the opposite of Saturn?" Not that planets have an opposite, but anyway, he says "Pattern! Get it?"

So, not knowing that my son knows the order of the planets, I say to no one in particular "What's the opposite of the second planet?" My 12 year old daughter immediately turns red and my wife shoots me this look. After 10 seconds of thought, my son yells out "Penis!!!". Everyone withint 10 tables of us looks over.....I was in the doghouse with the wife last night.....
