A good friend of mine is a video editor and his first network credit was for a Spanish language program. Since he has a decidedly non-Spanish name, they had to modify his name for the credits. I won't use the actual name, but effectively "John Stephens" became "Juan Estebano."

Years ago I visited him at one of his regular gigs and asked the receptionist to page "Juan Estebano." He was not happy with me, but the receptionist was quite tickled.
