Sweet corn spoonbread + smoked pork chops + cranberry chutney + ridiculously loveable organic greens = dinner

Oh dear, that is not a good sign.

Mmmm... no lunch today with my car in the shop and a proper lack of planning ahead of time. That sounds really delish. Did you make it yourself?

Ever notice how the really stupid articles never have a rating thing on them?

(The one in question supposedly tells you how to throw a major party for less, all it really does is tell you to watch your spending. Um... duh?)

I bought Chris a desk chair at a garage sale today. It is a wood classic "teacher" chair similar to my Ollie Johnston chair. It was $20. DEAL!

I tried to smoke pork chops once, with horrible results.

Ba-dum-bum *cymbal crash*!

Hated the overdone sequins on Michelle Obama's dress last night. But the night before, she hit it out o' the ballpark in that turquoise dolman sleeve empire sheath. I'm thinking of making a copy withthis pattern.

Morrigoon 08-28-2008 08:36 AM

Okay, I have to laugh at their "fashion drawings" of that pattern - the one with the big ol' flower in the middle that spans the model's whole chest. I'd have to use, like, a massive poinsettia to pull that off. There's a LOL-worthy mental image!

My little sister is graduating from the Police Academy in Honolulu right now. She's giving a speech tonight, too. She was selected from her class to speak for her class.
:)
Very cool!
