On a completely different subject, why do people tape their envelopes shut? Scotch tape all over the flap part of the envelope... Don't they know that it makes it impossible to open it with a manual letter opener? Did Oprah tell people to do that on her show or something?

When I remember, I tape shut my bills (some of those envelopes have glue that's not very sticky). But I don't tape the entire flap down. One piece in the center will do.

All the checks clear, so I presume they're not having any trouble getting to my money.

And dont forget about the cockroach eggs. ;)

Yes. Yes, I have. My tongue is amazing. It heals as fast as Wolverine's.
One in the center is fine. One, two, three long pieces across the entire flap is annoying. There's no place to stick your letter opener in.

I guess there are worse things that could happen.
