Ahh. The first series in a very long time that is tempting me to get HBO.

Speaking of friends missed...

I just talked to Sactown Chronic. He, Crystal and the Saclets are well and he asked that I pass along his greetings to everyone.

I'm hoping we start seeing him around the Lot in the not too distant future.

I miss you, Sac! Come back soon!!

Now then... Has anybody seen MickeyLumbo??? If I had his number I'd call him.

Hi everybody!
Yesterday involved taking the hound to the doggie day-care so they can pass her temperament, and she'll be allowed to play with the other dogs. I'm hoping that will help her anxiety levels, and energy levels, and resocialize her to dogs. This is the first time in a long time she's been a solo dog, and she's none too fond of it, in spite of getting more walks than before. We took her to lunch with us, and she lay down while we did some homework. Stocked up on cheese and yummies for the evening's cemetary screening (Pee Wee's Big Adventure), and went down for that. Quite a lot of people, Paul Rubens showed up to talk to the crowd, and it turns out to be a funny movie. Late getting home, though, and for us personally it was quite a mess from start to finish; badly executed plans.

Today we slept in and went mountain biking. We scouted the route I'll be leading for a beginner ride the end of this month, making sure I know where I'm going. Usually I follow somebody else, but I'm leading this one!

I've been reading a lot of news stories about the Metrolink collision; terrible stuff. But it was interesting to see how they secured people to backboards and the baskets, and the Ventura County Star had a really good picture of the Sherriff helicopter. Amazing how they got some of the people out of those cars. This is stuff I'm technically trained to do, and it helps to see it in action.

It's been a while...

Health update:
The surgeon took the last of the stitches out of my mouth that did not come out naturally and removed the last of the rubber bands. I am now allowed to chew basic foods, no heavy chewing but im allowed to chew basic stuff.

I have an ortho appointment Wednesday to get a new accessory for my mouth installed, I'm over half way through with the whole procedure finally! maybe by next summer i will get these braces off.

That's very good news figment1986! What is the first food you're going to have now that you can have "basic foods?"

The Sookie Stackhouse books - first one is Dead Until Dark I believe. They jsut started a series on it on TV and I would just skip that and read the books. The show tainted my view of the first book for awhile but I'm really loving them now. Pure fluff though.

Susan made me watch the first episode last night (I haven't read the book[s]). Enjoyed the new take on vamps and I can see myself getting into this show.

According to Susan, the show does a fairly faithful reproduction of the book[s].
