Pulled jury duty today. Since I don't have to report until 8:30 am, I go to the jail first and do my morning stuff, then jump in the car and whiz on over to the Civic Center Courthouse in the nick of time. Except there was a bomb scare which closed down the courthouse and City Hall, so I stood out on the street for a couple of hours and watched the firetrucks and helicopters. Finally, after some hours of tedium, I was selected to be part of a jury pool. The bad news: it's probably a 5-week case. The good news: I am so biased that I think that once they read my 10-page(!) questionnaire, they'll let me go. But I have to come back on Thursday.

Yay civic duty.

Soooo, we borrowed the slushy machine from the Gas Station down the street to use for my Graduation open house on saturday...so I'm excited, I get unlimited slushies for awhile.

Am I the only one who sees TDR and thinks Tokyo Disneyrand?

You know what's the best thing ever? Having a boss who has a massive attitude problem, who treats his employees lower than scum and having no one above him do anything about it.

And they wonder why there is a mass exodus from the company.

Oh, that IS the best! But, you know what's even BETTER?? Having your heart broken by somebody you love and trust. It's like the promises he broke were little butterlies that kissed my heart & caressed my very soul. Sigh..it's so wonderful! It can only get better if he shoots me. On my Birthday. In front of my family. :) :snap:

Okay, my way too dramatic dorky heartache & all kidding aside, that is just the worst!! :( Hang in there, girly (especially when the "slurping" starts up :p) and remember- nothing heals like massive amounts of Ally hugs! Theyr'e like Allyesque band-aids. ;)

-------> {{{HUGS}}}} :)

Let me guess, you covered all ten pages with "All work and no play makes Mousepod a dull boy"...

That would have been great. I had so many fantasies about what I'd write, but I kept remembering the oath I just took, so I stuck to the dirty truth...

I was supposed to do jury duty today but when I called in, I found out I was supposed to call in earlier to register on their hideous voice activated registration system. So come June 19th, I'll be in court where most likely I will be thanked and excused. I have yet to sit on a jury, though I've been through many a panel.

I was worried about clicking the link. I wasn't sure if I was gonna see a roller coaster, or some guy rubbing one out.

So, my classmates voted overwhelmingly to not have a break during class. Not to skip the break and get out early, but to sit through the entire 100 minute class sans break.

What a bunch of brown-nosing suck-ups.
