You don't have to be a doctor to know that eating hundreds of strips of bacon at a time can't possibly be good for your health. A reporter for Japan's Rocket News 24 obviously didn't get that memo. Because he ordered a burger from Burger King with 1,050 slices on top.

I had a maple bacon shake at Slater's 50/50 one time. It tasted like a vanilla shake with about a cup of maple syrup mixed in. I.e., not bacony at all and WAY too much maple. They offered to remake it with less maple. The second one had a nice balance of maply sweetness, but it still lacked any kind of bacon overtone.

A while back Jack in the Box had a limited-edition bacon shake which I rather liked.

It does look delicious but it does not look like 1,000 pieces of bacon.

Now I want to go cook that three pounds of bacon in the fridge :D
