I love ceramincs, my specialty was oversized body parts

I actually didn't throw pots. I did more "art" ceramics, actually. Pig faces that hold sunglasses, that sort of thing.

But the fun of clay aside, I also really enjoyed the glazing stage. Maybe I should hit my local Color Me Mine and do a bowl or something. I just remember them being kinda pricey.

I got pretty decent at throwing at one point. I'm not sure I could do it still. But, I do miss the days when I had one low-fire, one raku and 2 high fire kilns at my disposal.

My favorite piece I made in ceramics fell out of my locker and broke :(

Hmm, I think the rest are still sitting in my old closet at my parents' place.

So are we then resolved that the LoT commune needs a kiln in the Arts 'n Crafts barn? (presumably right next to the LoT commune garage multiplex and motor shop)

Not that close, I don;t know if I can create in peace with Capt. Jack's power tools and blowtorches ;)

Of course, if we're doing ceramics, I want to learn how to blow glass, so we'll need a glass furnace too!

I once made a scarf. It started out as a sock, but I couldn't turn the heel.

It's that bell pull by the fireplace?

Q: What does J.K. Rowling make with clay?

A: Harry Pottery

ABG has a really nice kiln and an entire pottery shed. :)

Her and her hubby once taught me how to throw. I ended up making a really neat LOTR-inspired bowl. I was quite proud of it, until she told me that it cracked during it's short-lived stint in the initial drying locker. :(

As long as there is also room for the 50's style diner and Karaoke palace in the commune.
