Some of those sketches reminded me why I don't usually watch SNL. The engagement sketch, for example, dragged on for freaking ever and wasn't funny. They should have some way of quickly winding up sketches that aren't working.

They've had problems properly ending sketches for years. And years. The only one that ever worked perfectly for me, aside from the cold-open "live from NY..." and Weekend Update was the "you like-a the juice?" bit that ended in "you no like-a the sketch? You want-a the sketch-a to end? We end-a the sketch."

SNL has sucked for many years now. Someone needs to resurrect Phil Hartman...

SNL was great the past couple of seasons, imo. This season, aside from some of the political sketches and one or two off-the-wall sketches has been pretty flat. Even the digital shorts, which had been comedy gold, have been so-so this season.

We still haven't seen this weekend's episode.

So many of the great cast members are gone. Very sad.

Why are the neighbors making loud barfing sounds? I'm pretty sure they are not actually vomiting...in fact I think they are playing a game of some sort (between the barfing sounds I hear clapping and loud yelling/exhorting). Does anyone know what game involves barfing sounds??? You know, so I can not purchase it by mistake?

A couple of things I'm wondering about...

Why is Upland High School convinced that I attended that school and that life can't go on until I call and give them my current biographical information?

Why would the US Census try so hard to contact someone at a specific address? I've had the them knock on my door twice in the past week or so asking about my next door neighbor. All I could tell them was that I don't know his schedule but as far as I know he's still living there. Today I saw they'd left another business card on his door. In the time that these inquiries have been going on I haven't seen him at all and his van was parked in his space only once for a short time. The weirdest thing is that his living room window is wide open (but the blinds are drawn).

Chances are pretty good that it is not actually UHS calling, but a company that makes money by marketing an alumni directory. If you give them info, they will next be hounding you to buy the directory.

Yes, but I've never even been in Upland, let alone gone to high school there. I could call them and tell them they have the wrong person but I'm curious how many times they'll try to contact me. It's a postcard actually, not a call, and they insist "we do not want to print the directory without your current biographical information." Little me, holding up the whole process.

The other thing, may be you share your name with someone who did live in Upland?

We get calls for a guy who has a name only somewhat similar to the Hubsters and we always get calls for his dad.
