C'mon... do you really even need to ask that question?

Sign that I really need this cup of coffee: I just attempted to plug my cell phone charger into said cup of coffee.

H and I have been thinking about buying a house for a long long time. Over the past couple of months, we've gotten serious - got a pre-approval letter from a mortgage broker, hired a local real estate agent, started aggressively searching...

Lats week, we made our first offer on a house. Unfortunately, two other offers also went in (in this market!) and the sellers countered with the original asking price. We couldn't get involved in that kind of deal, so we walked away.

Friday evening, we saw another place. Made an offer on Saturday morning. It was countered that evening. We came back with a second offer on Saturday night. They came back again (before their open house!) on Sunday morning. Our best and final offer is now in - their deadline to respond is tonight at 5pm.

It's been a crazy week. We've missed what by all accounts was an amazing party, we've eaten way too much crappy comfort food, and we haven't slept more than a few hours a night.

This is fun.

Mousepod: feeling stress is normal. Buying a house ranks right up there with being born for the amount of stress that accompanies it. But rest assured, it just means you're paying attention. Just wait till the day you sign your loan docs!

My moment was when they handed me the keys to the house.

I just started watching "Paranormal State" and I'm quite amused. Not up to TAPS quality, but they're entertaining. I watch the team members, and they're trying to take it so seriously it just strikes me as odd and funny.

I'm not sure what to think about the exorcisms; apparently it works for the people involved, so that's cool.

For us it was the signing because the bank tried to make some last minute changes to our loan we weren't too pleased about. We walked away from the table and after some interesting phone calls, our loan paperwork was modified to what it should have been.

Mousepod it will be all worth it when you sign the loan papers and get your house keys. My sister and her husband couldn't even sell their condo (they've tried more than 3 times i think) so be greatful there are houses out there and that you were able to get a loan etc.

I smell pumpkin pie. Dammit, I smell pumpkin pie!

Agreed. Having the home is totally worth it (although I admit a certain fondness for the mousepods' current digs, as well)

The bunny saga continues:

They freaking love each other and are practically inseparable. I kid you not.

A couple weeks ago, Munchkin finally gave in and started grooming Lito. Now Lito follow Munchkin everywhere, which she tolerates surprisingly well, only occasionally getting annoyed and shooing her away. They eat together, and we even left them in a single cage one evening (I think Munchkin was a little miffed over that one).

The new development this week is that Munchkin is actually letting Lito return the favor and groom her! Lito's still a little overzealous, clamboring onto Munchkin's back. She also has a short attention span. So wheras Munchkin would happily sit there and be groomed for hours on end, Lito gives a few licks and walks away - and for some reason usually deicdes that right over Munchkin's head is the best path. Leading to Kodak moments like this:

Spoiler:

Best of all, Munchkin's finally out of her funk it seems. She's eating better, spending much more time hanging around us instead of lurking upstairs, and wants attention instead of bolting for the cage the moment you acknowledge her presence. Yay bunnies!
