I knew you'd all want to know.

Sorry to hear that. My insomnia comes and goes but, with one exception last week, has been relatively quiescent lately. Tonight might be a different story.

I feel weird. It's election day. Seems like a normal day so far, but it's not.

I don't even have something patriotic to wear today except my "I voted" sticker. Partisan stuff not allowed at my job. I need more red white and blue stuff.

Well, I'm wearing blue and my Obama 08 & No on 8 buttons. While it is not encouraged at work, several staffers have had things up at their desks (mine has only been a print of the NYTIMES Bullwinkle Assasinated) my leanings have been obvious. Since it is election day, I figure I can wear some more obvious buttons. How typical, one of the attorneys asked me, how did you vote on Prop K (prop to rename the sewage plant after W)? While I find it amusing, I voted no, it's a waste of funds.

Absentee, they do not give us I Voted stickers in the package (damn) and I did not want to stop in a polling place and try to get one.

what more does one really need?

In honor of the United States long standing policy of generous foreign aid packages, I gave my "I Voted" sticker to a foreign devil that works in my office. She wanted the free Starbucks coffee.

Capt Jack 11-04-2008 10:13 AM

and did you inform them that all they had to do is walk in and ask for some coffee?

the giveaway being tied to the sticker was abandoned after it determined that it was against campaign law...so SB decided anyone who asked for a free coffee, could have it...sticker or no.

Krispy Kreme is doing the free giveaway as well.
