So, my contractor is here finishing the office desk. After that we can put back all of our shyt. I'm going to be spending the day organizing office stuff and I'm really looking forward to it. The office is looking great so far!

People watching in our neighborhood is... well... interesting. I'm getting an idea why Bill likes to go all Gladys Kravitz.

Both the front and back houses next door are for rent now that the white trash neighbors moved out. The owner must be making improvements, because there is a carpenter over there building something.

A little while ago, a little silver SUV pulls-up across the street. This woman gets out. Long feathered brunette hair, tiny black tank top, tight black spandex pants, and high heels (!) She totters across the street, cigarette in one hand, orange extension cord in the other. She gives the extension cord to the carpenter, tells him something (couldn't hear what) to which he replies "Ya. OK. Sure." As she totters back across the street, she passed the trashed pink loveseat sitting on the curb that the neighbors left behind and tosses off a sarcastic "Nice couch, babe". She gets in her SUV, and wiggles her fingers out the window at him as she drives off.

I can't decide whether to love her instantly, or hate her instantly.

Oh, and here's a pic of the "nice couch".

Haha, there's a new ad for Windows/PC laptops. The entire thing takes place in the Fry's in Fountain Valley, complete with bizarre lion-head tables in the computer section. The spot starts in the parking lot of the Fry's, then you see the South Coast Plaza parking lot (under the Bridge of Gardens), a brief visit to the Sony Style store in South Coast, then up the 405 to Fry's.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/wat...o/default.aspx

AND, if you go to the Windows.com front page, the banner image at the top is a still from the ad showing the Fry's parking lot.

I don't know why but this amuses me greatly.

So I have a mock research proposal due in two weeks and I have no idea where to start researching. I've tried a few subjects, but it's either not enough research, or done to death. Bah.

At least the internets work again after my honey reset the router.

I got something cool in the mail today - a "Bag O' Crap" from ThemeParkReview.com

What's in my Bag O' Crap?

1) Severed clown nose (I guess)
2) Cute little raccoon looking pencil topper from china (or at least made there)
3) Theme Park Review pen and lip balm
4) The Jiggidy Johnson's Jammin' DVD Volume Two (really fun video from all over the world - including great segments with Rockin' Space Mountain and Rockin' California Screamin')
5) Park maps from around the world -
Hong Kong Disneyland Guide Map
Tokyo Joypolis Guidebook (this is the Sega indoor park in Japan)
Disneyland Park - Guide To The Year Of A Million Dreams - Now Rockin' Space Mountain with the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
Guidebook to Happy Valley (Beijing, China)
Park Map & Guide to Idlewild and Soak Zone - a very nice little park, featuring the awesome "Mr. Rogers Neighborhood of Make Believe"
Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom GuideMap from Christmastime 2007
2008 King's Dominion map
2008 map for Drievliet, a park in the Netherlands
A park map for Chimelong Paradise in China.

Pretty cool prize for a silly photo caption :)

Mike's Lemon Drops - enjoyed with a slice of lemon in the fancy glass nestled in ice with a superfine sugar rim. It's like a fancy girly drink that I only had to do half the work for. And it's decent. Not as good as a homemade one but drinkable fo shizzle. <---- and I've only had two. See what happens.

Not nerdlish. 'Tis an echo from long, long ago.
