Girly froo froo drinker I am. Cognac seems like a manly man drink to have in a study, by a fire, with a pipe or something.

I'm a willing taker for any regifting you intend :)

Cognac's my favorite sipping cocktail - Apparently it's being marketed heavily to the black urban demographic - I blame the Ladies Man.

I just realized....I will have BOTH an ailing pug and an ailing husband at the same time. God help me!

Without a ramp.

He has to have his LP surgery (luxating patella) on his left knee very soon. I'm probably going to schedule it right after NYE because the recovery time is about 6 weeks. It's going to be VERY tough on all of us.

Chris, I'm sorry to hear about your surgery and here's hoping for a speedy recovery!

I am having my knee (and my toe) operated on on Monday (a lateral patella release...I sympathize with Thurston). I too, am happy to accept regifted cognac. Not only do I really enjoy good cognac but I find it enhances pain medications quite admirably.

All of my friends seem to be moving from Myspace to facebook. Personally, I find facebook frustrating (certainly in searching out friends). It's not user friendly. It's not readily searchable. It really frustrates me that you can only "join", therefore "search" x number of geographical areas over any given time. Why the big exodus from Myspace? What is the deal? My cheese is frustrated...therefore sad. :(

(And don't even get me started on twitter. How many freakin' social networking sites am I supposed to keep up with?)

MySpace is annoying and seems to be full of juveniles.

I have a great pumpkin pie recipe that uses cognac. It's an unpublished one my mom got from James Beard at a seminar.

Not Afraid 11-19-2008 09:19 PM

I prefer twitter over any of the other social networking sites (I like the word - and commitment - limit). Facebook irritates me and MySpace is only good for music (and even that is becoming a problem). LJ has been boring lately as well.
