So here we are nearing the end of October and we just had a planning meeting to review all our emergency procedures in case a Hurricane and/or Snowstorm hits us early next week.

Go to the market, buy 25 loaves of bread, 22 pizzas (various flavors), 13 gallons of milk and 4 cases of beer. Got it, you're all set, if you were at my Safeway in Warrenton.

My first snowstorm and I really did need a half gallon of milk, not knowing the drill, it was hilarious!

In any case, is the snowmageddon cam working?

Short of the Michael Bay forecast, we are not expected to get any snow from this storm so "Snowmageddon" cam will stay on standby. However his tropical cousin "Frankenstorm" cam is standing by should conditions deteriorate.

Prior to coming to work today I filled the gas tanks on all the cars plus the 5 gallon can for the generator, stopped by the hardware store to pick up some spray sealant (for a leaky spot on the roof) and a box of Firelogs (they make great kindling). After work I'll clean out all the gutters and put away all the deck furniture.

Doesn't preparing for a storm take all the fun out of it?

Happiness is being at the grocery store and hearing the Grim Grinning Ghosts.
