New pickup line:

"wanna come back to my place and see my bacon wiener?"

I saw a TV ad for bacon, where the bacon said "I'm just like meat candy". I think advertisers read LoT for ideas! ;)

And yes, bacon talks....

One of my new favorite items at TJ's. Makes for a nice supply of diced bacon bits in the freezer once I fry it up and drain it.

Snow, I do the same thing (only I get the cured smoked bacon ends from the meat department that are real cheep)! I keep them in the freezer, then slice some off, and put it back it the freezer. With the high fat content they don't freeze real hard, so it's easy to slice.

I use this where bacon lardons are required.

Hehehehehe. Bacon Hardons.

...Oh, Lardons?

Thanks good! My butcher, alas, does not sell cheap bacon ends and pieces. The TJ's is $2.99 and I figure that is still a good deal.

Hardons, Lardons.... What's the difference? :D

Well, one's usually about 6 inches long, fairly flaccid to handle at first, but can get firmer, it's all greasy and slippery and the best thing to do with it is stick it in someone's meat.

The other one's usually about 6 inches long.... oh, never mind.

Bacon is the duct tape of food

RStar 06-11-2013 06:49 AM

Of course, everything tastes better wrapped in bacon!

(while there are so many funny things that can be placed after that statement, I will refrain)
