Just a wee bit of a difference there. While the prognosis still sucks, it doesn't suck as bad as originally thought.

I hope they are able to find a match quickly JWB!

They started him on chemo, and they want to do a bone marrow transplant.

Okay, this is much better news.

HUGS nonetheless!

While this kind of thing is never fun for any members of the family at any time of the year, during the holidays, it's terrible.

Whew!

Still really awful news. Hugs to you and your family and here's hoping for a speedy/successful recovery.

Ugh, reminds me of my cousins spreading wrong details that my dad was about to die. Misscommunications are understandable during a stressful time, but would it kill people to fact check before declaring someone at death's door?!

Glad for the less grimm prognosis.

Ugh JW. At least it wasn't the other way around.

Here's to a full recovery.

Sorry to hear about your brother in law JWBear. You might want to check out the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for more info on ALL. http://lls.org/hm_lls

:( Hoping for the best, JW.

I'd rather hear the "sick but will get better" than "sick and won't recover" but either way it still sucks -- hope everything turns out okay.

I hope the docs are giving you a worst-case scenario and he actually gets to come home sooner. May the chemo do its work!
