I consider it news, but I don't consider everything that is news in the LA area to need a thread. Unless someone here was in the house. Then, it is 47.3% worthy of a thread. Just so we'll know who no longer needs a birthday thread.

Yeah, I'm kinda with Alex on this one. Three people died: that sucks. But unless someone from our San Diego area contingency is involved, a separate thread is not warranted.
