In the ongoing effort to declutter the house, I offered up 6 Christopher Radko ornaments on ebay, to the tune of a $150 hammer price. :D

Sooooo I had this wierd dream.
I was going through the Haunted Mansion in a Skyway Gondola with Obama, and we kissed (not just peck on the cheek either!) ...will he be at the DLR in April? |
ZOOLIGHTS!
ZooLights opened Thanksgiving weekend. This has been my life for the last two months. Now it's up and running and attendance is way up already.
Two nights a week it's my job to stick around and just make sure things run smoothly. It gives me time to take pictures: The Bremen Town Musicians watch over the entrance: ![]() The arch leading down the boardwalk: ![]() Our steam engine waiting at the station: ![]() (No, the ape is not climbing the stack. It's on the water tower behind the locomotive!) Number One rounding the bend: ![]() More |
Do you guys have any animals out during the evenings? The Oakland Zoo does zoo lights too and it is kind of lame since all of the animals are in their night enclosures and so it is just walking around looking at Christmas lights (which is nice but not worth the hassle on its own).
|
Most of the animals are off exhibit - Some portions of the grounds are just not compatable to night time events. Visitors to ZooLights can see: Tigers, Polar Bears, Sun Bears and Elephants - the baby is viewable until 7:45. And the frog exhibit is running through December.
Yeah, the lights are the main point of the event, though. Along with the train, music, a model train display, and a fabulous holiday buffet. Trust me, it's a full evening! |
