Last night, we were eating a snack while watching TV when suddenly hubby yelled "OMG!" -- at first I thought he'd dripped salsa on the couch, but realized that that probably wouldn't have made him actually yell. I noticed that he was looking at the floor, so I leaned over to see, and there was my Mexican Red-Knee Tarantula ambling innocently along across the living room carpet!

He was easily caught and returned to his enclosure. Hubby told me later that his first thought upon seeing him was actually "I sure hope that's one of ours." :D

I have to BEG of you, if you are asked to post photos please please please do it in spoiler tags with warnings. I am terrified of spiders. And yes, the spiders in the photos will come out and eat my face.

The more you know.

I am off to Target. Wish me luck.

I hear there are lots of spiders inside Target stores.

And you can almost always find a spider or two right here on LoT.

Bot spiders are super-duper scary.

I don't fear spiders or snakes or creepy crawly things.....I fear dentists. Irrationally so.

Sasha ate a spider last night. Of course, at first she played with it. And played with it. And played with it. And just when I decided she was never going to put it out of its misery and I finally got up to get a paper towel - then she eats the damn thing.

So, how come the MSNBot Spider doesn't have any instant messenging capabilities?
