Did anyone wonder how/why Helen was even at the motel? Was she following Locke? Did she seem to be non-plussed by his fathers resurection? Seems to me there is more going on here.

She was suspicious of Locke's reaction to the thugs (remember when she asked if he was lying to them?) so she followed him to the motel. She was indeed pissed at his father because she had been trying to get Locke get over his obsession with him, and here he was being used by him again. And having already heard the suggestion by the thugs that he might have faked his death, she was not surpised by him still being alive.

I'm with you on this one. I also don't think she'd lie to him at this point.

I don't think it's Michaels baby. I think they had some good make-up sex after Jinn and gang returned from the raft other side of the Island.

She might....if the relationship is on the upswing and she had an indiscretion that she is not planning on repeating, it would be more hurtful to Jin to ease her own conscious than it would be benficial to Jin.

It's an interesting and plausible theory. I wouldn't be surprised if she's in on the con.

What purpose did she serve if she was involved with the con? I guess it could be twofold - first, knowing Locke would try to hide the money from Helen, he would also be hiding it from the two guys he took it from, and secondly, it could have been a way for Locke's dad to get the 200K back he had offered to Locke.

Having adopted (elements of) Fej and Mousepod's theory, I do believe Henry Gale, the fake one, not the buried one, to be the "man behind the curtain" as it were. I don't believe that he's just your run-of-the-mill "Other," I think he's inserted himself into his own experiment.

I mean, he did rattle off those numbers back to Locke pretty easily, don't you think?
