Does size matter?

Yay! Thanks to a sale, a discount, and some about to expire disney points from our credit card, we got the Wonderland bench. It is now in pieces on my floor. Yay! It is so cool!

 That's beautiful!

Oh, and free shipping. Otherwise it weighs gobs. So the total we had to actually fork out was less than $40. I almost don't want to put it outside.

Chain it down if you're going to be putting it out front. A kid I knew in elementary school said her dad put a park bench on their front porch one day, and by the next morning, it was gone.

Do you have an entry hall where it would fit? That way you could keep it inside. (It's Alice in Wonderland--outside things go inside, and inside things go outside, up is down, down is up, etc.)

We were considering our front patio. But then again, it might just live in our garage until we move and have a real yard. We could bring it out if we have parties. We always need extra seating.

So, why can I go to and big box store and buy a fixture for 48" fluorescent lights for about ten bucks, but if I want a basic (read: cheap plastic) hood for my dragons that holds a single 36" bulb, it costs me $65?!?

If I had the Wonderland bench, I'd bolt it upside down from the ceiling in our spare room. :D

Heh. That would be fun! But it's hella heavy. And we're in earthquake country. And I don't want to have to hang red longjohns in my window.

(Okay, the real reason it's a no-go is that we're hoping to move in about 18 months and I don't want to have to fix more holes.)

Because it's a specialty item and they know they got you where they want you! Maybe you just need a bigger tank for the dragons;)

I'm guessing 48" is a standard size.
