No, it doesen't. "Getting naked" is usually the means to and end. There is nothing sexual about not wearing clothing, nudist style. It's a nature thing, a freedom of sorts. Warm sun, gentle breeze, nature around you in the garden. That's what I like, and what the National Garden in the Nude day is about.

In general, I love the sun, and this weekend will be wonderful!

This is my 666th post -- eep -- but there is nothing evil about it, nor is there anything naughty or evil about nudity, for gardening or any other reason. :D

My initial worry when I saw my neighbor was the he could run over a rock or something and possibly injure himself. He was mowing the lawn, not doing anything sexual at all, and indeed, he was in his own backyard. Granted, I did have an excellent view. And if his goal was to feel at one with nature, wearing a Bluetooth seems a little incongruous, not to mention that I still don't know where he was carrying the phone.

I get the whole communing with nature concept and realize there is nothing pervy about it. It just would not work for me. I'd feel very vulnerable and exposed, which seems counterproductive when trying to reach a serene state. But I am happy for you, that you achieve happiness in such a simple pleasure. In fact, I will be thinking good thoughts for you as you enjoy the warm sun and gentle breeze on that day.

Playing hookie from my paper-writing. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some reading done, then Monday I can go out to the school, start working on my power point presentation, and on my papers. I'm not doing very well at doing it at home.

On the bright side, today was a fun day at the Scandinavian festival. Some friends came to join me, and we ate, and looked at stuff, and had a generally grand time. I snagged a bunch of pamphlets on Finnish culture and a packet of lefse to take home.

Fantastic.

I'm almost within my calories for the day. Almost. Maybe if I do a few more rounds with the weights....

Random thoughts for tonight.

I must also point out that I have a block wall covered by shrubs that are 6-10 feet high all around my back yard. I do not wish anyone to see anything they don't want to. I'm very carefull about that.

Also, I'm a professional gardner (I had a business for many years) and extremly careful, and have never hurt myself. I have a healthy clean lawn, free from rocks. Flying rocks can seriously hurt someone even when fully clothed.

Oh, and thank you Deebs- it was a warm and wonderful day in the garden today! :D

We had such a blast yesterday at the park. It was fabulous weather and I got to have quality time with mom and I didn't have to be stressed or anything. It was a pretty darn great day! We got my mom to ride Tower of Terror, which was a feat all by itself. And we have photographic evidence! True, she's clinging to me, but she rode it, and says she'd go again. We were there from noon to midnight. Long day! It was pretty great.

Oh! And there are FABULOUS new Alice teapots/cups/saucers/mugs!!!!! ZOMG! so super cute! I got one of each.
