Maybe Locke had moved the island, which is why he's now off the island. I wonder if the name change for Locke was because people were following the Losties and it was code.

I bet she was tapping ol' Charles because he found the island once, he can find it again, and she wants to go back and find Jin (she doesn't seem like she was particularly willing to accept that he's dead).

I'm not sure about that. If Locke was making the rounds to all of the Oceanic 6, it may have come out that Ben was responsible for the ship's explosion. Maybe she is hoping Widmore will lead her to Ben.

I'm wondering why Locke would have to move the island to leave it? Plenty of people have left the island by various means. Richard presumably lives on the island, but has visited Locke as a child, etc. And I'm assuming he isn't ageless. I assume that Richard moves through time and space, and seemingly has more control over doing so than Desmond had. Maybe Locke learned the trick...

And, for fun, Jeremy Bentham.

Nice how they had Claire appear in a dream, eh? Leaves whether she is dead or alive rather open.

I was very happy to "see" Mr. Eko again. Heh.

Ben had told Locke right before he went into the ice box that once he (Ben) moves the island, he could never go back to the island. Hence, making Locke the new Grand Poobah of the Others.

Note "John Locke" in his "influence by" list.

No one's dead and everyone is dead. Nothing stays buried for long on this island.

I think you're misunderstanding me, love. There is more than one way to leave the island. There has been an assumption circulating online that Locke also had to move the island, otherwise how could have left the island. But Richard has left the island. Others have left. My guess is they control moving through time and space, hence why Richard seems to be ageless....

I also assume that Locke learned the trick. And when he realized the island was in peril because some of the survivors, etc., left, he too left the island to find them and bring them back.

Ghoulish Delight 05-30-2008 02:36 PM

I think what indicates that Locke might have had to move the island again is the fact that he died on the mainland. It's one thing for him to have chosen to left the island for a short time. It's another to leave long enough to have died, that seems unlikely whucg kinda implies that he left and couldn't go back, just like Ben. At least, that's the conclusion to which the writers are trying to lead us.
