We didn't use many of the cabinet things - we just moved anything cleaning like to a high cabinet - then we just didn't have to mess with it. And Maddie was good about stuff. I have friends kids who were into everything. One had to tie together all the dining room chairs because her little angel would climb up the chairs, onto the table and swing from the chandelier.

Mine would use the lower cabinet as a ladder to climb. We had cupboard locks on everything.

It's just one less thing to worry about. I don't plan on going crazy with them, but a few key drawers and doors with the more heinous stuff in them just so I don't have to think about it seems to make sense to me.

They're a great idea and simple enough to use unless DM can open them. Then you'll have to get creative. I recommend duct tape.

I forgot, but I did end up using hair bands on a couple of double cabinets. I used one of the linen closet and one on the doors under the sink.
The Boy never did mess with the toilet. He avoided it at all costs...for as long as he possibly could... |
