This is the lamest office I've ever worked for.

I suppose I would have to have staff to care. However, there is someone lurking in the wings waiting for training by me. Hurray!

Since there a lot of Asian gamblers at some casinos, especially in Southern California and Las Vegas, many casinos specifically hire hosts/customer service reps who can speak a particular Asian language to make sure their gambling guests' needs are met.

I do not gamble at all, but I've known a few people who have worked as casino hosts.

Yeah, I suspect that they mean the job is as a Casino host for Asians (specifically Chinese) not an casino host that is Asian.

Very poor wording, though.

Daniel: I understand the reasoning, but a business should be careful how they word it, because I'm pretty sure it's not okay to give the impression that only Asians have a chance at getting the job (regardless of the likelihood that anyone else would have the required language skills)

It's "Administrative Professionals Day" - first off there's nothing wrong with being a Secretary why the need to try and make it sound important? Second - I'll be shopping with giftcards later - woo hoo!!

Heh, our Admin Asst is on vacation today (and all this week). Guess the boss gets to save some money.

Hmm. I'm chief, cook and bottlewasher around here, so I should buy myself a present. I deserve it given how often I ask myself to run domestic errands during the work day.

Or maybe just back myself into a corner when no one's around, so I can quit and sue myself.
