So, I saw my oncologist two days ago (that was the only time in the past 20 years that I missed DL's Anniversary). It was the one year anniversary of my surgery to remove my invasive melinoma. Everything looks great, no reoccurance, so I past the one year mark cancer-free. What a relief! :snap:
Of course I must continue to be carefull and have regular check ups. It was stage 1B, so I caught it early enough. |
Hurray for one year post- cancer!
I will have to make it to a Disneyland birthday one of these years. I've never been there on that day, in the several years now that I have had a pass. I've given it up now, so I'd buy a day, but it just seems strange that I've never gone for the birthday. |

Finally got to go scuba diving after a 2 1/2 year gap. Was great, but I seem to have bad luck with dive gear. Broke 2 dive computers and my mask.

Blech. Boneless, skinless chicken with no oil until you get it figured out.

I just poached boneless skinless chicken breast in chicken stock with aromatic veggies and spices. Comes out very juicy and flavorfull! Then you strain out the stock and use it for gravy, soup, or reduce it and add a little butter just before serving for a great sauce! Yum!

Today I saw an internet comment decrying Robin Thicke's success due to "nepotism".
Whatever your opinion of Robin Thicke...nepotism?! Yeah, he just grabbed onto his daddy's coattails and road them straight to superstardom and relevancy! Get me on that Alan Thicke gravy train! |
