The Mormon church by my work is being tented for fumigation. A subtle little "FU!" from the cosmos, it seems.

I worked earlier today and, when I got home, I could NOT keep my eyes open. I decided snuggling with Thurston was a good idea. Two hours later and vivid dreams about producing an stage play at Disneyland about the Evil Queen I'm awake.

Went to a baby shower over the weekend. Because it was a co-ed shower they spared everyone the usually silly shower games and did something different.

The hostess bought onesies - long and short sleeved - in many different sizes along with some bibs. She also bought fabric paint in little squeeze tubes and fabric markers. Guests were invited to create a special design or message or whatever and hang them back up on the clothes lines.

Once they are all worn and stained and used and loved, they will be cut up and made into a memory quilt.

I thought that was a cool idea.

Some people had to really be encouraged (scolded?) into doing them (mostly men) but then they ended up with some of the best designs as well.

I ended up spending the day driving all over Southern California with my boss today. To him, a gas peddle is an on/off switch. We have been back for an hour-and-a-half. I am still queasy.

If baby showers become a generally co-ed thing I'm really going to have to quit the human race.

I bet if they had that "create your own onesies" thing at a party I was at, I'd never be invited to a gathering again.

I'd probably put one of my favorite T-shirt hell slogans on it.

If folks could please cross their fingers or toss me a little bit of luck in hopes that this thing I'm not going to mention yet for fear of cursing it works out the way we've planned it, that would be grand.

Accept it, it's going to be gray and rainy. Fingers and luck won't change that...

All kidding aside, best of luck with your plans. :snap:

Yes, but "Swallow, or it's going in your eye" comes off a little different from baby...
