While watching the news last night I found out why they were so thick in that area-between Bakersfield and where you start climbing the hill. A drunk driver in an SUV crossed the center divider and killed a 4 yr old boy yesterday morning.

Ugh!

I'm not sure who that is, but for some reason I always think it's the same person as Divine Brown who gave Hugh Grant a PR problem

I don't think that anything in the world tastes better than a strawberry fresh from the garden, all warmed by the sun.

Especially if you picked it while walking through Tomorrowland ;)

I guess being layed off is bothering me more than I thought. I was just woken up by a dream about no longer working there.

Feeling a little blue tonight. There's only so long you can watch a sick mother in pain in person before you have the horribly chicken urge to run back to the other side of the country. Which I will be doing tomorrow morning, on my scheduled flight. My father--her nurse of sorts-- must be, like, a half-step from reaching complete enlightenment. No dung-beetle reincarnation for him.

I can relate all too well, LSPE. I'm sorry you are going though this. It is very trying indeed to watch someone you love sick and in pain. I wish you peace and strength.
