From the Starbucks on Sepulveda at Mariposa in El Segundo, which is thankfully open today, Merry Christmas and happy movies and Chinese food day!

I got some new jeans from Jennifer and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff in a stocking. Jen got a book from me and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff in her stocking.

I got to run 8 miles for Christmas! Yay! Merry Christmas to all.

The kids have all moved out, so we got together with them on Christmas Eve. That left Christmas day for us adults. So my mom, my wife, my aunt and myself went to the movies and then to dinner. It was the first time I went somewhere out for Christmas (other than the house of friend or family, of course).

We had a classic family gathering. Even a two hour power outage (caused by the ice storm I suspect) could not dampen the holiday spirit. Dessert by candlelight might become a new family tradition.
