And this thread could be retitled "Verizon ends its New Every Two" (and I think it changed its early termination fees too).

Sadly, what kept me from the AT&T iPhone (besides the hatred for AT&T) is the $90 a month plan for basics. It's going to be that much for VZ iPhone too.

The service will probably be better, but you can't multi-task with CDMA service, so it makes no difference for me. I use my phone constantly and am always doing multiple things with it at the same time. Maybe that will change by the time my AT&T contract is up. Meanwhile, other than at home, I don't find the service terribly problematic - and I'm all over the place all day long. But, service at home would be nice.

Your phone works fine on the front porch.

Heheh, I'm the same way. My service is pretty much fine everywhere. Except at home, which kinda hasta change.

So, I'm gonna look into switching, but may not end up doing it.

I think I'm grandfathered into some cheaper AT&T plan that's not available anymore. Sheesh, my cell bill is plenty high enough already -- if switching to Verizon would cost me even more each month, then I'll stick with spotty cell service at home.

I already have verizon. But I'm happy with my droid and I don't see any big reason to switch at this point.

If the sprint iPhone appears, I'd consider it. But we're really happy with Sprint and the Android phone options are just fine by me. I have no doubt I'd like the iPhone, but I don't doubt I'd like an Android phone. So no real draw for me away from Sprint.

The deal maker when we switched to the iPhone (from T-Mobile) was that fact that I COULD get service at home (couldn't on T-Mobile).

The lack of multi-tasking capability on Verizon makes switching doubtful.

My cell phone service at home was iffy until I switched from Sprint to ATT.

BarTopDancer 01-15-2011 12:17 PM

I love the Android platform and I am happy with T-Mobile reception. I hate my Android phone (too slow, screen is too small). If T-Mobile doesn't come out with something comparable to the Incredible or X I'm going to have to switch. If I switch it will be to VZ after I find the money tree.
