Maybe I should offer these !!

My reptiles would appreciate them!

Oh no, I live in Brea too, and we have a gigantic pile of candy . . . hope we get Trick or Treaters, such fun to see them.

I won't be handing out candy this year. Boy is staying over at his dad's. I was invited to go walking with my neighbor and her kids. I am thinking of dressing up Scruffy and take him with us.

We've got our bag of candy and we'll put up the window decor on Sunday. We don't get many kids and we're not allowed to decorate outside the condo so that deters me from going as far as I would otherwise. When Theo gets older it'll be a different story.

Considering using my 9 month old as candy bait...nah, I don't need the temptation.

Seriously? Our association has sometimes even had a contest.

We're not doing anything this year. Anyway I still can't hold with parents trick or treating their kids before dinner. Or teenagers "dressing up" in a sports jersey and jean shorts. I actually refused someone last year that didn't even try THAT much. I told them the deal was, they entertain me with costumes, I give candy. No costume, no candy.

I'm not doing any decorationg or handing out candy this year. The Boy is spending the night at his dad's, so I am off the hook for doing anything. No parties to go to, though I might go out Saturday night to listen to a band at Chuys.

My neighbor's/friend's daughter asked me to go walking with them when they t-or-t, so I might do that Sunday. I am tempted to dress up Scruffy and take him with me.

Yearning for a neighborhood that has trick-or-treaters. I used to get one (a neighbor) in Burbank. In our condo unit, we're not even allowed to put something on our door. Someday, beautiful foot-of-the-hills bungalow with the amazing tucked-in yard perfect for Halloween parties. Someday.

I haven't been home on Halloween for at least a decade. Don't know if kids still come by. We used to get a bunch, but it slowed to a trickle. Anyway, I'm glad to not have to buy candy - 'cause I'd just end up eating half of it.

Watching my Facebook friends list it seems like half the parents have already had some kind of trick or treating night in their local communities. Has it turned into a week long event? Does nobody actually do it on the night of the 31st any more?
