It is a little control freakish to have to go to Pottermore then transfer them to Amazon or whatever reader you use. It wasn't a massive problem just a hassle. Like you can buy all the books as a set - but you have to transfer them one at a time. It only takes a few seconds to do so but it's annoying.

When you have millions of slavish fans, making them jump through a few hoops isn't such a big deal.

I wonder if I could get the UK versions in eBook form. That would at least make the eBooks more interesting.

Weirdly, selling directly to your customers without letting a middle man jack up the prices or set arcane product requirements is, in other contexts, called a farmers market and not jumping through hoops.

A farmer's market is a collection of said farmers. If every farmer required that you drive right up to their individual farm to buy their food, that would be jumping through hoops.

Why are the farmers sad?

...Oh, said. Right.

I want to hear the Stephen Fry versions of the Potter audio books, but they are not easily (or cheaply) obtained here in the US. (Even friends of mine who are adept at *ahem* "finding" things have had trouble with this one.)

You just want to hear him doing Hermione, don't you?

Pottermore just let me in. Still not yet live, or maybe its the browser I'm using at work (ahem), work, heh.

Back to Flippy's query, anyone have the Stephen Fry audio of the Potter novels?
