What's really funny, is I posted that New Orleans Square pic on a nonDisney fan site, and somebody asked if it was MJ!

Funny how when you look at the photos, you see things you don't notice while you're there. Like the camouflage nets on the trees, so they can't be seen from the air.

Beautiful shots, Matt.

D'uh.

Ok, really, why are there camouflage nets on the Hub Trees?

Ghoulish Delight 12-20-2011 03:36 PM

They're lights.

They spent a lot of money on those trees, what with them being genetically engineered with sparkle lights and all, and they don't want other parks to steal the technology. At night they double as invisibility cloaks so as not to block the views of the fireworks.

Only at night. Durring the day they double as camouflage nets. At least that's what they look like. Thay are starting to show more now that the leaves are turning yellow and brown under the green nets.

I don't think they "double as" camouflage nets. They're camouflaged to make them lest noticeable during the day (the nets, I don't think they're trying to hide the trees from aliens).

I think they camouflage the trees really well ! Just look at how sparse the park looks from above:

What kind of trees are those, anyhow? Facepalms?

Sorry, I think you're missing my point. I'm jokeing about how bad they look in the photo, while I never noticed them while actually there.
