Nice try, but it's not about getting the stuff off - that happens with either order. It's about getting the stuff off in the right order to expose the surface.

Hmm, I recently switched to floss then brush in the morning, but kept brush then floss after lunch. Maybe I'll go exclusively floss-brush in future (but I suppose the best thing would be to add floss to the bedtime brush, when all I can seem to manager is brushing)

You're brushing too much.

My pattern of brush on the 1st of the month and floss on the 15th might commonly be thought of as "brush then floss" but when you consider that I got my first tooth on the 9th it confuses the situation.

Ugh, hands after flossing before brushing. I can't wash 'em fast enough.

Since this thread began, and I wrote my entry, I had switched to floss first, then brush. I felt the brushing was more effective when I got the big stuff out of the way. I then use mouthwash which also happends to get more out. And I follow that with hand sanitizer.
