Admitting you have a problem is the first step, right?

This time my DVR is prepared to record Lost. I was so pissed last week. I miss my real TIVO. This time warner DVR thing is craptacular compared to my good friend TIVO.

Oh and Eliza, I think Sawyer is an attractive man (not my type but attractive) but I have to admit that I have become fonder of him when he wears his island glasses to read. I love the glasses so funny, cute and endearing.

As a precaution, I am having my mother in law record it as well (she lives 30 miles away).

My roomate works for ABC as a liason to the local affiliates. Last week, when the fires caused Adelphia customers to lose service, she got the local affiliate to re-broadcast "Lost " in a "special encore presentation" after Monday Night Football. I'll just ask her to put in a word to your local affiliate if you have any problems. ;)

I will most certainly inform you of any problems I encounter, and much gratitude for the offer. :)

I mean, I can, on some theoretical level, understand simply not liking the show (purely theoretical, of course). But to say, "I like it...but I don't care if I miss an episode," is mind boggling. I've heard a couple people say that now. I don't get that.

But you can miss an episode and still be OK. "Previously, on Lost" does a pretty good job of showing you what you "missed" in the last few (or more) episodes, and the show itself is really repetitive.

But really, I don't get it either. I love the idea of it, but I think it may have something to do with hype. There's no way Lost can live up to the hype that's been created about it. I liked it more over the summer when there was no Lost than I do now that there's an episode of Lost on tonight.

Maybe I'll *love* it five years from now on DVD? If I do, I promise to create a gushy love-for-Lost thread then. ;)

Well, I've loved it since the git-go. My personal hottie is Sayid, who is, not incidentally, one of the more complex characters. ::goes to set DVD-R::

scaeagles 10-05-2005 05:34 PM

Kate's hot. Sun's hot. Not into Claire or Shannon. That would be about all the female characters there are.

Complexity? We're talking eye candy here, lizzie.

lizziebith 10-05-2005 05:55 PM

Well, Sayid is my eye candy. Heheh.

Mine, too! Is that my puddle of drool in front of the teevee or yours?
