Well, I just got back from our read-through. It went well. There are about 20 people in the cast. There are a lot of fun people that I will be working with. I feel better. I feel energized.

I found out the director wants to have us in period costumes. 1930's. That's going to be fun. I also get to wear a Greek toga in one scene. (Ahem.) :D

MW ~ The big 35 is coming up. Ugh. I was supposed to be a millionaire filmmaker by now. That didn't quite happen. I'm feeling old, but maybe I shouldn't. Thanks for the kind thoughts as always.

wb ~ You always know the nicest things to say. You totally rock. I don't think the snow is helping. It's cold. But it's kinda pretty, too...

Now from the 'Things That Happen for a Reason' file: I met three people in the cast who studied acting overseas. Guess where? London. Wow. I've already asked them if I could pick their brains about me going there. They said they'd totally help. That's so very wonderful.

:)

All in all, my day turned out okay.

Very cool, GC! Again, we'll need a photo essay, alright?;):D

(Especially of the toga.....)

Ah, the young age of 35? LOL

Well, glad to hear it all went well. And, that you've met some people who can give you info about London.

Well, I am a little bit older than you are. I have come to try and enjoy life more than when I was younger. I met a man who is only about 30 and says he is old! I scoffed at him and said he was going to wake up in 10 years and realize he's made a big mistake by not enjoying his life today. And every day.

Sounds like you've gotten your groove back. :snap:

You rock, GC!!

wb ~ Uh, we'll see... :D

MW ~ I'm trying to get there. In fact, the irony of this all is the play is about enjoying life and being happy. Maybe I should pay attention to the play a little more, eh?
:D

MouseWife 02-14-2006 10:10 AM

That is true. Duh. I haven't read/seen this play before but the title is a dead give away, right?

Yep, you can't take it with you. And, what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. And, the cops can't come in unless you let them in. Or unless they have a warrant.

But I digress.

You know what to appreciate, like I do. Somedays {weeks?} it is harder than other days.

Are there rainbows there in Boston? {I've never lived, that I can remember, anyways, in snow}

When you see your first rainbow, remember me and that I wish you happiness always, wherever you are.

Gemini Cricket 02-14-2006 10:35 AM

MW ~ Haven't seen any rainbows in Boston yet. But when I do, you'll be the first to know about it.
:)

I dig the synchronicity of meeting castmates who have studied abroad in London. I would love it if you would remember, in your dark moments, that this is the way life is. There is always a gift for you in everything that happens. You just may not be seeing it yet.

Awesome about the toga!
