We really, really should. It's not cheap though. Renting the hall, dj, tuxes and gowns...

It would kick ass though.

It would. Maybe we can do bakesale fundraisers. Or I can sit next to the punk crowds who bum for beer and ask people to support our Prom fund.

I think a good rule of thumb is that if public decency laws require you to tape your dress in place on your body you should pick a different dress.

ROFL!! I totally agree. :)

Personally, I'd settle for looking like the model. I don't need the dress. Like one of the high-school girls said in the article- you can't move in that thing!

Besides, I want more fabric, not less, if I'm gonna spend *that* kind of cash for a dress...

If the prom thing flies, I'll have a hard time deciding which tux to get

Hmmm. Well, we could always chip in and rent a small banquet room at a hotel, or even just a large clubhouse. And Kevy's a DJ (if he'd be willing). Dude - this would be SO much fun! Now I wish I had my old prom dress. But, I do know of a place in the garment district to buy brand new overstock designer (i.e. Jessica McClintock) gowns for only $5!!! (Seriously. And they're the real deal - not knock-offs.)

My parent's house.

At least we could have, like, an after-prom party there.

Of course, I offer without asking them.

And they're all the way in bumblef**k Northridge.

Does anyone's apartment complex have a large enough clubhouse for this? We seriously should do this in May, since that is prom time. ;)

Oh, and I have a LOAD of pastel streamer that I'd LOVE to part with for this event.

Guys could even just wear nice duds if they can't find an old tacky tux, and we girls can take a trip to the district to get $5 prom gowns! They even sell crowns there, so we can have a prom queen!
