Yep. In my history of house rabbits, they've all done stuff like that. Our current little girl will keep her cage nice and tidy for a couple weeks, and then suddenly chuck the litter box, knock over the pellet food hopper, and even chew on the bars for a few days at a time, and then be nice and calm for a couple weeks again.

I think they get bored on occasion and like to "rearrange the furniture" in their immediate "home of their own".

I usually remedy these "periods" by getting a new toy. They love things that rattle and make a bit of noise - baby keys, some bird toys, etc.

Current toy count:

• Box 'O Fun (cardboard box with newspaper inside for digging and ripping)
• Baby keys
• Rattle shaped like a phone
• Willow ball (he loves that one)
• Munchin' sticks tied together
• Toilet paper tubes for tossing and ripping
• Shoebox for nibbling
• Doormat Madness (loves to dig, munch, and generally go nuts on it)

It'd be hard to add more to the mix ;)

Added a couple more pics of the time he pulled out a notebook and invaded a bookshelf. Lots of good munchin' in there. We switched out all the good stuff down there with notebooks from GD's college days :D
