Try riding every ride in the park according to MANUFACTURE date of it's ride system, then get back to me...

Gumball Rally - whatever. No real interest from me. A geek quest to ride all the rides is only fun when surrounded by a group of friends.

As for the MiceQuest - yes, I'm interested. I'm interested in conquering any and all Disney events. How cool would it be to have a LoT team do really well, too?

I'm surprised no one else seems to be up for it.

ok, I'm confused ... and I can't be bothered to read much of micechat. Is the Gumball Rally separate from the MiceQuest? Huh?

Edited to add: Eh, whatever! I'm not paying either $35 or $45 to galavant around the Park. Sheesh, even when I was still affiliated with micechat, that GayDay game I was going to run was only going to cost $5 per person.

I'm not giving any money to that grubbing organization. Their entire philosophy of pay-service message board and rake-in-the-dough events just rubs me the wrong way.

BTW, with the prices being charged now, I wouldn't pay for MouseAdventure either.

(yeah, it'd be quite the Sophie's Choice if I weren't being allowed to play gratis.)

Yes seperate events running at the same time.

The concepts of the events are interesting to me - well, Mice Quest anyways. But, I feel they are too expensive for a team of 4 ($135). But, MC is an extremly popular board and, if they can get that kind of money for this event, more power to them.

But, I want to refrain from bashing another board here. We just don't need to be involved in a board war for any reason. LoT is a completely different environment and it's that was for a reason. That should be enough to keep us happy.

It looks like it would be a lot of fun, it's so costly though. :(

If we were so different that we didn't need to play events put on by other boards then none of us would be playing MA anymore...

Why would any of us make a decision based on a pack mentality? I think most of us are a bit too independent for that.

It sounded like you were implying that we shouldn't even consider playing a game put on by MC because LoT should be enough to make us happy. If that was incorrect then I apologize.

And as for Jen saying how cool would it be for a LoT team to do well.. don't we do that every MA? It's not a board war, it's just pride in your friends doing well.

There have been some things said that could easily be percieved as board-warish. That's what I would like to avoid. It's a fine line and I suggesting that none of us cross it. However, if anyone would like to say things about another board, I'm not going to stop you, I just won't take responsbility for the tone set by some here.

As for Lot being enough, look at my own post coun on MC and you'll get the answer.

Cadaverous Pallor 06-20-2006 10:59 AM

Ok, I thought the MQ was $35 a team, not per person. Forget that. From the way they're talking ("Disney fees", dessert party afterwards) I think this is going to be a Big Thunder Ranch event. As Alex has pointed out many times that really isn't cheap. I wonder how many people they're planning to host.

If anything I've said is board-warrish, please point it out. It was never my intention. Those blanket statements always make me wonder if you're talking to me or not.
